Ants Playground

This is the first version of the Ants Playground game - much more to come!

The scope of the game is to try and defeat the neighboring termite nest before you run out of food by spraying pheromones into the air for your warrior ants to follow into battle.

How to play:
After starting the game pan the camera to the center of the world by holding middle-click and dragging. The circle in the middle of the world is your ant nest, take good care of it because that is where you ant eggs and ants come from. After a while ant eggs and worker ants (the tiny white ones) will begin spawning in the world and start searching for food. Food is generated at the start around the world and is represented by yellow cheese wheels. Worker ants will try and find them, afterwards they will try and take a piece of cheese and bring it home. At some point you will see termites spawning from a similar nest (looks like yours but yellow) somewhere farther in the world, they are the enemy. Drag your ant warriors to them (the bigger red ones) by left-clicking in the world and spraying a pheromone trail for them to follow.

How to run:
On Windows: Double click the executable, a shell will pop up and the game will start. On Linux: Can only be run using wine.

Controls:
F2 - Pause the game.
F3 - Turn on/off debug text printing.
F4 - Turn on/off debug drawing.
F5 - Turn on/off debug text window panning.
Left-Click - Spray pheromones in the world.
WASD - Move the camera around the world.
Middle-Click - Drag the camera around the world.
Left and right arrows - Zoom in/out the camera in the world.
Scroll up/down - Zoom in/out the camera in the world.
